Spargo is not open yet. The only thing this site does is take an email address so we can tell you when it is. This page describes exactly what happens to that address, in plain terms — there is not much to it.

Who is responsible

Spargo decides what happens to the addresses on this list and is answerable for them. For anything at all about your data — questions, corrections, deletion — write to hello@spargo.dev. It reaches the people who build Spargo directly, not a ticket queue.

What is collected

When you submit the waitlist form:

• Your email address. The one thing we actually want.
• Where you came from. If the link you followed carried campaign parameters — utm_source, utm_campaign, ref — those are stored alongside your address, so we can tell which post brought people who were genuinely interested.
• A one-way hash of your IP address. Not the address itself — a scrambled form of it that cannot be turned back. It exists only so a single machine cannot flood the list with thousands of fake signups.
• The time you signed up.

Nothing else. There is no account, no password, no name field, no phone number, and no tracking of you across other websites.

Why, and on what basis

To tell you about Spargo as it is built and when it opens, and to count how many people asked. The legal basis is your consent, given by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete your address, and there is no consequence for doing so beyond not hearing from us.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. Page views are counted by Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not build a profile of you or follow you anywhere else. That is why you are not being asked to dismiss a cookie banner.

Who else sees it

Two service providers, both acting on our instructions and neither permitted to use your data for their own purposes:

• Supabase — the database the list is stored in.
• Vercel — hosts this page and runs the code that receives the form.

Both are American companies, so your address is stored and handled outside the UK and EU, under the standard contractual clauses they publish for exactly that.

Your address is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers. If Spargo becomes a company, or the project changes hands, the list goes with it — bound by this same page, and to nothing beyond it.

How long it is kept

Until Spargo opens and you have been told, and for a few months after that in case you decide to take up an account. Then it goes. You can ask for it to be deleted sooner at any time, and it is. If the list is ever closed for good, it is deleted and you get an email saying so.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what is stored about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased. One email to hello@spargo.dev is enough — no form, no account, no justification needed. You will get an answer within 30 days, in practice much sooner. If you are in the EU or UK and are unhappy with how we have handled it, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and, for anything significant, you get an email about it before it applies.
